About me

Hi,

My name is Roel Berkeveld. I’m a student of the Master in Tourism Destination Management at NHTV University of Applied Sciences Breda, the Netherlands. I grew up in the center of the Netherlands in the city called Utrecht, where I lived until the start of my Bachelor of Arts Profession-oriented Tourism and Recreation in Breda in 2011.

My passion for travelling is visible in the trips I made in the past few years; I had a gap year as a snowboard instructor

in Austria, I had an internship in Malaysia, I went on several study trips during my bachelor, I made road trips through Europe with friends, I had another gap year as a representative winter in France and I studied for one year in Belgium.

If you didn’t notice yet, an impression of my winter season in France can be seen in the background of this page.

Since September 2017, I’m studying the Master in Tourism Destination Management, which takes place in Breda in the first five months. After the first phase, the program continues abroad starting in Melbourne, Australia, followed by Sri Lanka, Singapore and Bali, Indonesia. Phase three of the master program is the dissertation phase, which I hopefully can accomplish somewhere abroad as well. Until then, I will keep you up to date in my blogs on this website. Enjoy!
